Aimee's first Pig

My nephew Jarrood revealed a previously hidden secret on his blog the other day. It is really funny...if it is not your house...Essentially the boys, including Aimee's husband David, caught a desert toad and put it in a jar with a scorpion. For some inexplicable reason the put a firecracker in the jar and parts of the Toad ended up on Aimee. It is actually worse than that, but that is the gist of it. The real miracle is that Aimee let any of them live! As you can see above, she can handle herself in any situation. Today she got her first javalina while hunting alone north of town. She got a deer a while back while alone in the same area. The animal is on its way here now to be butchered by me...one of my odd hobbies. The meat will be delivered to fa miles in our Spanish Church who actually like it. I have cooked it and must admit that it is good meat, but I can't get to excited about it. Congratulations Aimee, you're the WOMAN!

this deserves a jaw-drop for multiple reasons... but i'd like to focus on the unimportant... ALONE? HUNTING ALONE? ISN'T THAT AGAINST RULES OF SAFETY - ESPECIALLY FOR A WOMAN ALONE IN THE DESERT?

good hunt aimee - good hunt... my husband will wish i were so cool. sitting in a tree with him while HE kills the pig and then later helping to slit it's dead throat so it can bleed out faster is as cool as i'll get. :)

goodness papa z - you have some amazing daughters. :)
